Sometimes it can be very confusing when trying to find the perfect cell phone. With all of the options that are out there, it could drive you crazy. One of these options is whether to buy a smartphone or not. Smartphones are great, they can do a lot of things "dumbphones" cannot. For example, a smartphone can do everything you would usually use an appointment book for. You can set up reminders for anything you want. Smartphones also excel when it comes to surfing the internet. Depending on the phone, smartphones let you download different apps to do anything you want. There are apps for calculating your taxes, setting up a budget, and there is even an app to use your cell phone to process credit card payments.
The main drawback to having a smartphone is the cost. With most carriers, smartphones require a data plan which can get expensive. Data plans have gotten much cheaper lately, but can still cost as much as double what a voice plan costs.
The choice is yours. If you do not need internet service on your cellphone, or you live in an area where you can't get access, a smartphone is a poor idea. But, if you want the lates technology in cellular phones, a smartphone is the way to go.
